Traditionally, bathroom is known to be a room that’s containing a toilet, but due to the development of bathroom, it is now known as a room specially functioned for bathing needs. It mostly contains shower and also toilet, and may or may not also be consisting of vanities, sink or wash basin, and possibly bath tub.
If you want to build a new bathroom, you need to be careful about it. It’s better to know what you’re handling, and if you know nothing about it, we’d suggest you to hire a professional help. It’s better that way rather than handling more problems as the days gone by for it might be even more expensive and bothersome. Especially in plumbing, because if you don’t execute it right, plumbing problems will turn into disaster.
When you’re executing your bathroom plumbing, make sure you have the best quality materials. Those that are out of date will bring problems in later days. Set your fitting to the size of your pipes; you don’t want anything to be wasted. Get some pipes in good length for your toilet and sink, also in tub and shower. To make sure your plumbing is tight, we suggest that you should use plumbing tape because leakage from your plumbing system will damage your floorings, roofings, floors, and will make your house uncomfortable in general. Don’t forget about electricity. If electric wires are in the way of your plumbing, don’t forget to turn off the electricity before you proceed, this can be dangerous if you forgot. You can also remove them and reinstall them once you were done with your plumbing installation.
Get your contractor to install your bathroom flooring if your floorings are made out of marbles, terrazzos, or hardwoods for these materials are frail and need professional handling. You may do the flooring by yourself if you’ve ordered tile floorings, but remember to be careful in doing flooring. To prevent tiles from sliding after they’re set, use notched trowel to spread non-sagging thinset mortar and let the mortar dries as the suction made by the trowel hold the tiles. If you happened to use too much thinset and the excess is crumbling out, use screwdriver to scrape out the thinset from the tiles.
Ventilators are also important. Besides it removes unwanted smell, it also plays important role in controlling humidity in your bathroom as it can also remove superfluous moisture from your bathroom. Make sure that ventilator pipes don’t directly go to the attic as it will damage your roofing. Hire good contractor that will handle ventilator installation goodly, not only in wiring and electricity stubs, but also in general construction such as fitting the size of ventilator for your bathroom, et cetera. Don’t forget about the rest of your bathroom needs such as mirror placing, sink and vanity placing, et cetera. Good contractor is your bestest friend, because even although you don’t want to ask for their assistance, advices from your local contractor can be very valuable, so make sure whether you want to do installing yourself or with assistance, you always have number to a good contractor.
